Cannes: Indian divas who wore black

Several Indian actors donned black at the Cannes Film Festival red carpet. Here’s what they wore...

The Cannes Film Festival 2022 was the first time that several new faces of the industry walked the red-carpet event. But unlike other editions, many Indian actresses won hearts in a black ensemble. The following are some of them who were bold in black:

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan: A regular at Cannes Film Festival, Aishwarya’s black outfit bloomed on the red carpet. She looked fresh as a dew in a black off-shoulder Dolce & Gabbana satin gown with 3D floral accents one of the sleeves and the gown. The former Miss World added pink lips and a winged eyeliner to complete her look.


Deepika Padukone: Deepika made heads turned at the Cannes red carpet in style. The dimpled diva walked as a jury member on the red carpet dressed in a Louis Vuitton black feather gown. The Piku actress added smoky eyes, a high updo, minimal accessories and a bright smile to woo audiences.

Aditi Rao Hydari: With a bindi, choker and gold layered necklace, Aditi gave her gown a makeover. The actress wore a black lace embroidery tulle gown. She complimented her Sabyasachi outfit with the Bengal Tiger Belt by Sabyasachi Accessories. She also added a pink scarf over her hair that were styled in a bun.


Tamannaah Bhatia: The Baahubali actress looked glamourous in a black high slit sequined gown with a sweetheart neckline and a sheer cape. The actress wore this beautiful outfit on the premiere of Top Gun: Maverick. She chose nude makeup and long earrings. She kept her hair neatly tied into a bun.

Urvashi Rautela: The former Miss Diva Universe 2015 looked ravishing in Ali Younes’ black feather dress. Urvashi wore a strapless embroidered gown with ruffles and a stretched train. She paired the outfit with emerald drop earrings, a studded two-tiered necklace and a bracelet. She kept her makeup neutral and styled her hair into a neat bun with centre parting.


Hina Khan: Despite making a debut at the Cannes Film Festival this year, Hina aced her appearances as a star. Hina rocked in Fivori’s little black dress. The lace-embroidered outfit accompanied a sheer train in chiffon and around the waist. The actress added bright red lips, minimal pear earrings and black shimmer heels to the outfit.
